Up into Washington

Miles travelled - 312

Emptied our grey water before we left - and nowhere near as easy as it was with Priscilla! You had to connect a tube and then put the other end down the drain - but the bloody stopper for the grey water didn't work properly so you have to quickly get the tube on as it all starts coming out! Not too pleasant.

On the road again and left Oregon to enter Washington state. Took a major highway up and the difference it made with time! We were by the coast in no time - stopped at a few lovely driftwood scattered beaches - one really nice one with loads of rocks jutting out and a river meeting it. This one was called ruby beach. Some people were in the process of building a little shelter out of the driftwood.

Drove into Forks which is the town that Twilight was set in - so there were a few little 'twilight' stores in the town and lots of signs too. Drove towards LaPush where we were staying for the night which was in the quileute reservation which is where the werewolves are in the book. Had nachos for dinner and then made s'mores after building a tiny one log fire. (S'mores are a melted marshmallow and a piece of chocolate sandwiched between two graham crackers. Very nice but really sweet!). Continuously cringed while watching twilight to see if there was anywhere we recognised - and turns out like literally none of it was filmed where it was set! Slightly chilly night as lots of misty rain about.
