Dresden and Berlin

After a rather late night the night before we packed all up and set off for Germany on the bus. We stopped in the German city of Dresden for an early lunch - a really cool city, lots of really amazing architecture. It had been bombed by the soviets resulting in a huge fire storm which destroyed 80% of the city and 137,000 people - mostly innocent civilians. There was a really long (100m?) wall made up of heaps of painted ceramic tiles depicting all the German rulers. Had Asian food for lunch, mine was boring - should have stuck to having a bratwurst.

Got into Berlin and went straight into a driving tour to see all the main sights as everything was quite spread out. Got to the hostel and had a bit of a chill before going and having included dinner. A few people went out to different places but Abby, Lottie, Meg and I all watched moulin rouge before going to bed.
