Got my stuff organised in the morning and then popped to the shops to get Jane and Laura some thank you chocolate. Hung around with the cats for a bit before Jane took me to the station and sent me off. Fairly uneventful flight. Got off and it was pissing with rain and freezing the othe end. Went through passport check - the non eu passport line was shorter for the first time ever! Collected my luggage which was soaking wet, luckily not too much of it had gone through to my clothes. Waited for a taxi for about half an hour then took the 18£ cab ride to my hotel. The brief glimpses I got of Edinburgh in the dark were amazing, like stepping back in time. Why didn't I plan to have more time here?! Checked in and fell into the most comfortable bed ever
